Ford FE 390 intake manifold re-torque?
#1
Hi! I´m rebuilding a 1968 Marquis with 390, all stock. For the intake manifold Fel-Pro MS90145 is used. According to the old shop manual the intake bolts should be re-torqued after running the engine to operating temperature. Does this apply to the Fel-Pro gaskets as well?

Hi,

Our gaskets don't require retorquing, however, if the manual calls for for a retorque of the intake bolts it may not be a bad idea to do so.

In the case you decide to do a retorque on the intake bolts, follow the repair manual instructions for the procedure.
