I'm building a +.040 sbc 350 w/ ProMaxx Alum 64 cc chambers & 190cc runner. block is 2 bolt main Gen 1 for bracket racing only. which head gasket would you recommend.

Hi Bill,

You have a lot of options for this build. Our tried and true 1003 Performance Head Gaskets would likely be a fine option with their pre-flattened steel wire under the stainless combustion armors. Modern aluminum heads are much harder than early aluminum heads are less likely to be damaged by brinelling. The pre-flattened steel wire helps minimize that chance even more. If brinneling is still a concern you could use the 1010 gaskets which have a pre-flattened copper wire under the stainless combustion armors.

If the sealing surfaces of the heads and the block are smooth enough (60 Ra or smoother) you could use our Performance MLS gaskets as well.
