What is the restrtors purpose do u use it on all 350 engines

Hi Jim,

The restrictors are there for carbureted applications to control the amount of heat the carb will see. Using the restrictors cuts down on the flow of the hot exhaust gasses flowing through the manifold. They can also help with engines that have issues with boiling the fuel or vapor lock issues. If this is a race only application, the installer usually wants to avoid adding heat under the carburetor.

If you use the restrictors they will only go on one side. You place one of the halves on the head side of the gasket and the other half on the intake side. You then bend the tabs over in the center to hold it in place on the gasket.
