Oil Pan Gasket +
#1
I saw on one of the TV automotive shows the item used to assist when installing oil pan gasket.  It was a plastic blue "peg tha screws into the bottom of the block.  You could slide the gasket up until it clicked onto a collar which holds the gasket until you install all the bolts, then you unscrewed the "pegs", and installed the balance of the permanent bolts?  Brilliant idea !!!  Can these be bought as separate items?

Also, unable to find FelPro oil pan gasket for my 1st generation 392 Chrysler Hemi?

Hi Jackie,

The pegs - SnapUps as well call them - are certainly available for purchase separately.

ES 72863 is the part number for engines with 5/16" oil pan bolts, most likely what you'll need for your 1st gen Hemi 392, but double check the thread size first!

Our SnapUps blog has more information and other part numbers in case you wanted other sizes. They are helpful for transmission pan installation as well!

We do offer an oil pan gasket set for the 1st gen Hemi 392, it is not a molded rubber 1-piece gasket though. The part number is OS 6488 C:

We hope this helps!
